What is Education 4 Cause?
Education 4 Cause is an international, student-led non-profit organisation based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our mission is to create a more inclusive world for differently-abled children by providing them with essential resources and opportunities. We support organisations like Saraswati Learning Center and Community Cheshire in Jakarta, as well as similar groups in the Philippines.
We organise fundraising events to support these initiatives, providing essential items such as wheelchairs, tablets, and nutritious foods. We also engage the community through volunteer opportunities, including art activities and events that connect volunteers with the children.
To raise awareness and advocate for inclusion, we actively share stories and information on our Instagram page and through articles on our website. At Education 4 Cause, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of differently-abled children and fostering a more understanding and supportive community.
What does SLC do?
SLC provides education for all people, but exactly how do they do this?
They create awareness through workshops and talks, aimed at parents, caregivers and other organisations for others to gain more knowledge. They also focus on each child's abilities rather than their disability, which is essential for them to reach their maximum potential. SLC also empowers young adults for successful careers, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide a training program for adults to better support the growth of special needs individuals.
